Expecting Real Heroes
A snow fell at the exchange of year. The discussion was about Hero.
In different times, hero is defined differently. Old time heroes were mostly swordsman, Robin Hood style: fight the tyrants, help the poor, or take down towns, and invade enemy country. Today's heroes mostly have unique talents, innovatively and aggressively: being leader of peers or the master of technique, winning fame and taking own territory. They all have their own best. Heroes can shake the world and heaven, yet with calm and clear mind. It is after trials, meditation, comprehension, hard work and frustration that they can have such power. On the other hand, heroes, regardless of times, have noble wills, care for ordinary people, for the society and the entire world.
Great feats start with trivial; complexity is composed of simplicity. Ordinary people like us, are not born to be heroes. Even at cost of a whole life, you just can't be one. But in the times of wealth and glory, we could at least try our capacity on real estate. After ten years of fighting, we realize that our blooming age is gone and, regrettably, will never be back. With meditation, I suddenly realize that "Heroes come to their own times, and rule during his turn". In this era, in today's China, a large group of young heroes are summoned. They have ideas, ambitions, knowledge and will of devotion. They care about the nation, about exploring truth; they are willing to take pains to serve the country, to show their capacities.
Times make heroes, and heroes shape their times. China, Henan and every walk of the society, are expecting real heroes.
