Well, I told you about mGinger in which you get paid to read SMS on your mobile phones. Today, it's around a month that I have been a member of this site and till now I have received only 1 message from mGinger. Is it really worth of the hype that it has got?

mGinger which has got so much hype and popularity from the News channels and papers hasn't been upto the mark of my expectation. While registering, they say that you can receive utmost 10 paid messages on your mobile in a day. But it has been just 1 message of 20 paisa in this whole month. Many of us have been working hard to make members under us. They say the more you make the better it is, but what's the use. You don't get paid for making members but for the SMS read by your downline and mGinger hasn't been able to get advertisers till now so that they can send their members atleast 1 message in a week making the members remind that they are members of mGinger for which they should work.

I have around 500 members under me but only 20% of them work. But for the past few days those 20% have also stopped working as they also think that mGinger is not going to pay or they might have even forgotten it. You need some boosters to work for any company and SMS are just those. If you don't get them, you get disappointed and stop working for it. Boosters can also be in the form of blog post in which mGinger has been little lazy. Moreover, their customer support or I can say their member support just does not exist. I have sent them many mails through their support but none of them was replied by mGinger team. Moreover, I tried to tell mGinger team what they lacked and some of its bugs and instead of acting on it, they deleted them.

Nevertheless, its my appeal to mGinger team to take their customers emails and comments seriously and should give up adding only comments that praise them in their blog posts, after all criticism is the best tool to achieve perfection. Moreover, they should quickly get some advertisers otherwise everyone is going to forget it and the company might get failed even after achieving so much hype from news channels and papers.

Everyone of us on the internet want to surf as quickly as possible so here we are with a software that does that not directly but indirectly. Many times all of you might have experienced a situation in which an ad heavy takes so much time and bandwidth that you prefer to close that site. Today, 90% of the internet websites are filled with ads which takes far more time than the actual site contents to get loaded into your browser. The solution for this is to either don't visit these ad heavy site ( I know for most of you that's not possible ) or to block the ads that are actually responsible for slowing your browsing speed from getting loaded into your computer.

Adblock Plus is an excellent software for blocking ads o n website in your browser. It can block almost 99% of the internet ads. The only thing it lacks that it is not IE compatible but it works absolutely fine with Firefox, Thunderbird, Seamonkey, Flock and Songbird.

Here is the procedure to get this great software on a PC with Firefox 2.0 installed:

1. Click Here for downloading the Adblock Plus.
2. Once the download in complete, confirm the setup in the dialog box by clicking the Install Now button.
3. Next, you will be asked to restart the firefox. Click on the Restart Now button.
4. Firefox will be restarted and you will be asked to Add Filter List. For making it easier for the new users, they have some pre-built list of filters to which you can subscribe. I liked the Easy List of filters and selected that.
5. Now sit back, open a site and see the difference.

The default settings works absolutely fine and blocks most of the advertising on websites however you can also add a filter to your subscription list manually and optimize it for better performance. For this you will have to go to Tools | Adblock Plus. Now, click on Add Filter and add the url of the advertisement to be blocked.

Another feature that I liked about Adblock Plus is that you can manually tell it what items to be blocked. For this you will have to perform the following actions:

1. Click on the Adblock Plus Menu on the Firefox toolbar.
2. Select "Open Blockable Elements" to open Blockable Item List at the bottom of your browser.
3. Now, click on any element and it will take you to the exact position of that element on the site and mark it with a blinking border temporarily.
4. Now, if you have figured out what element to block, right click on that and select "Block This Item".

Overall, adblock works perfectly and I have experience a great experience in my browsing speed and savings in traffic which were previously consumed by those unwanted ads. The only thing that I would love to see adblock IE compatible. Nevertheless, adblock is a complete package for blocking unwanted ads and thus increasing your browsing speed and saving traffic

Apple's iPhone is going to be in the market on June 29th in Apple and AT&T Inc. retail stores. Its been just two days left for the release and AT&T Inc today announced three plans for iPhone users which starts at $59.99 per month. All of the three service plan by AT&T consists of the following services:

2. Visual Voicemail

Now, the interesting and the most important thing here is that they have announced a new service for iPhone users in the form of Visual Voicemail in which iPhone users will be able to view a list of their voice mails and the users will be able to decide which voice mails they wish to listen to just like emails.

Another thing to note here is that AT&T has offered unlimited data transfer for iPhone users. So, you can access internet without any worries of size of the data being transferred on your iPhone. Google desktop gadget is an application for those who love to have widgets on their PC just as in case of Yahoo widgets. Just as in Yahoo Widget, Google Desktop also requires you to install Google Desktop software on your PC. The software can be downloaded from the homepage of Google Desktop and is 1.74MB in size. The installation process was smooth and easy. I have used Google Desktop before and was surprised to see the new Google Desktop. 2. Ok, the second thing I liked about the Google Desktop Gadgets is the Google Alerts that keeps you informed of all the latest news coming up around the world as soon as they are posted on the respective websites or alerts for emails on your gmail account as soon as they arrive in your mail box.
3. Next feature that Google Gadgets has is the Auto-Hide feature just as the Auto Hide feature of Windows Task Bar. What this does, that it allows Google Gadgets to use your PC screen only when you actually want to use.

So, above three features are the major ones among the several many other features of Google Gadgets.

Top Widgets from Google Gadgets

Google Desktop has a large number of useful Gadgets and its really hard to pick the best one, so what I am going to do is to introduce you some of the widgets that I liked the most at Google Desktop. Here they are:

1. News: Well Google News Widget that comes with the Google Gadgets is at the top of my favorite news widget. But beside that, there is another cool widget there that is based on digg.com of which I am a big fan. This widget provides you with the most popular stories at Digg.com. You can also have category wise list of the top news at Digg.com. This can be a great help if you are interested in Technology news or Sports news.
2. Tools: There are some good tools available in the form of widgets at Google Desktop Gadgets in the form of Domain Search or Dictionary. But one of the most important and by far the most interesting tool there is a Fast Shutdown tool. By using this tool, you can quickly shutdown your computer with just one click.
3. Communication: In this category, there are mostly widgets that allows you to send SMS to every part of the world. One of the widget there is Free SMS India. As I am in India, this tool is just great for me who love to SMS around the country with my mobile. It can be a great way of communicating with your friends and relatives in any part of India without spending a penny.
4. Finance: Well, I liked the Adsense Status widget there that allows me to have regular updates of my Adsense earnings.
5. Sports: I am a cricket fan and Google has something for me. They have a widget that is named as Live Cricket Scores. The name explains everything and I don't think I should say something else. They also have some more cricket widgets such as Cricket Videos and Cricket News.
6. Technology: NASA TV is a technology widget there that allows you to keep up with latest information coming from NASA TV. I like listening to space news and I think it would be with many of my friends reading this post. So, this is an important widget for them.

Overall, Google Desktop is far more advanced and has many useful widgets than Yahoo Widget. The only thing it lacks is a widget just like Yahoo Map widget based on Google Earth. Google Desktop also has an enterprise edition for you which offers you great many other features.

Widgets that started to come up in blogs and web sites have now found the path so that they can be used on our computer. Yahoo widgets is a Yahoo undertaking especially for widgets that provides widgets for both MAC and Windows operating system.They have a large number of cool widgets but the only thing that I don't like about Yahoo widgets that they don't provide Yahoo widgets for bloggers and internet websites.

Yahoo Widgets currently have 4242 great widgets in its database which could be downloaded and installed. The procedure for Yahoo Widgets installation on your PC is listed below:

1. To use Yahoo Widgets, you need to install Yahoo Widgets software on your PC. But Yahoo widgets software is compatible only with Windows Vista, Windows XP SP2, Windows 2000 SP 4 and Mac OS X 10.3.9 or greater.
2. The important point in the installation process of this software is that it did not show any installation interface on my PC and for one time I thought that the software is corrupt. But when I tried to download a widget from the site, it went onto the next stage indicating that the software is installed on the PC.
3. Next, choose your widget and click on the "Get Widget" button on the right bottom corner of the widget, next click on the "Continue" button for confirmation of download.
4. Downloading will start and wait for it to be completed
5. As soon as the downloading finishes, a window will open in front of you asking you to Accept their End User Agreement. Read it carefully and if you accept it, click on the "I Accept" button.
6. Now, another window opens up asking you for confirmation that you really want to use the widget that you have downloaded on your PC. Click on the "Use Widget" button and you will be through.

On looking at the download process, I noted that Yahoo Widgets are really big in size so they are suitable only for websites and blogs.

TOP WIDGET AT Yahoo Widgets

Yahoo Maps - I love it: Well I just found this Yahoo Widget and its just great. You can view each and every portion of this world with Yahoo Map Widget. If you have a dream of seeing the whole world than this is a must have widget. You can look at each and every street of the world and even pin point your home with this widget. The buildings, the lakes, the trees, the mountains, the lakes etc. looks exactly as they look in real life and is almost equivalent to as if you are watching them in front of you. I found this widget the most useful and a must have widget from Yahoo although there are thousands of many useful widgets such as news readers. Blogging have been a great fun over the past few months and have really increased my knowledge a lot. Now, Bollyball has thought of another important series of site reviews in which the top widget providers ill be reviewed for their widgets. For those, of you who do not know about widgets, here comes a brief information about it.

Widgets are a simple virtual interface that users can use to interact with your blog or website. You all have sometimes seen the shoutbox in many of sites these days. Its one kind of widget that allows your webs visitors to write their feelings and thoughts on the shoutbox so that you can know what your visitors think while they come to your site. Apple today announced something great for iPhone and Youtube lovers. iPhone which is all set to revolutionize both the mobile and computing world on June 29 will also contain a special new Youtube application that will allow the iPhone users to view their favorite Youtube videos on their iPhone's stunning 3.5 inch display.

Apple also stated that Youtube videos can be watched by both iPhone and Apple TV users. However, Apple TV user's will have to download a special Youtube application package which can be downloaded with the help of the integrated update utility of Apple TV. Moreover, Apple TV users can view their saved and favorite Youtube videos by logging into their account on it. However, for iPhone users Apple currently allowed only YouTube originally created videos which are over 10,000 in number to be viewed on their iPhone. However, this can be looked as a major revolution in mobile internet access that iPhone is going to give write after it launch.

In an another important statement, Apple guys says that iPhone will be the first mobile device that will provide the YouTube videos in the new H.264 format that is characterized by higher video quality. But this will not only be the advantage of this new H.264 video format as iPhone users will have the advantage of longer battery life while accessing the Youtube videos. Well, this could really be great for iPhone and Youtube lovers as they can have more YouTube experience on their iPhone.

The announcement looks great but I can't understand why only those 10,000 YouTube video could be accessed by iPhone users although YouTube has millions of other great user created videos that people love to watch. One reason could be the copyright problem that YouTube is facing these days but in my view this could be a much useful service if they allowed them to access each and every YouTube videos. Although Apple stated that YouTube will be adding more and more videos to this catalogue but if they go on like this it will take more than an year to make each and every video for iPhone users available.

Apple recently released their Windows based browser Safari this month. I have worked on this Apple's Safari for some time now and I found some limitations or some controls that are missing from Apple's Safari.

• The first thing that I learnt from other websites is that Safari does have some font problem. However, my Apple Safari didn't show any such problem and all the menu and bars were absolutely fine. But, some of the people out there who are facing this problem so I feel that I must mention this here, although it was not my finding.
• Now, this is what I observed while working with Safari. I usually have the habit to write just the name of a dot com domain and press Ctrl+Enter. For those of you, who didn't know about this shortcut just try this.
  • Open your Internet Explorer or Firefox, type "BollyBall" in your browser's address bar and then press "Ctrl+Enter". Note: This is a shortcut for visiting addresses with dot com domains without writing the name prefix "www" and suffix ".com".
  • So, when I tried to do this in Apple's Safari, it doesn't work. This shortcut for dot com domains does not work with Apple's Safari. I found this a great problem for me as I am very fond of this shortcut.
  • Secondly, when I tried to use the shortcut for dot net and dot org domains, they too didn't worked with Safari.
• Next, problem that I found with Safari is with minimization and maximization of Safari browser
  • I know that all of you will be saying that it has the minimize and maximize button. But there is a problem with it. I and many of you might be used to minimize and maximize a window by left clicking on the task buttons that shows up on the windows taskbar. Ok, but what I found with Safari on my PC that, when I try to minimize the Safari Browser with ithe click on the taskbar it just doesn't minimizes. In order to minimize the browser, you will have to click on the "Minimize" button provided on the browser.
  • Now moving on to the "Maximize" limitation. If your Safari browser is minimized to your Taskbar and you wish to maximize the Safari browser, just notice that it will not go into the "Maximum" mode rather it will go in the "Custom Size" mode inspite of the fact that your browser was in Maximum mode when you previously minimized.
• The fourth problem, which is actually not a problem but a suggestion to the Apple staff, that why the hell you have the close button on the Tabs on the right hand side. Every other browser has it in the left side than why are you changing the conventions followed by those biggies in browser industry. It creates a mess for me as I used to work with Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari in a day.
• Next problem is that it does not automatically selects the address in the address bar completely when you click on it. This could be a bit boring when you wish to replace the existing address in the address bar with the address of the site that you wish to open up. This thing is available there in every other browser but not Safari. If you wish to overwrite on the previous address in the address bar than you will have to manually select the complete address instead of the automatic address selection that most browsers like IE and Firefox have. Compare the two images from Safari and Firefox when I clicked on the address in the address bar to change it.

So, these five problems that I currently found with Apple's Safari browser for Window and I hope that they will soon fix the above bugs and might take on my last suggestion in their next version.
