Mozilla releases the Beta Firefox 3.0
Mozilla Firefox releases the upgraded version of Mozilla 2.0.x, which they call as Firefox 3.0. The version is still in beta phase as they are still testing it. This version of Mozilla supports over 20 global languages. You can download Firefox 3.0 beta1 from the Mozilla’s website and you can also download the release notes which includes all the information about the new software.
This new version of mozilla includes an engine, which is code-named as Gecko 1.9, which includes approximately two million changes and resolves 11,000 issues. With this new renovated engine “Gecko 1.9” you can expect more features, security and performance and also code simplicity. They also include instant feeds, bookmarks and a google toolbar option. The security system in this new version is very strong which makes the database very secure where users can put their data securely. As we all know the database includes bookmarks, history, cookies and preferences. In this beta version, Mozilla has tried to remove over 300 memory leaks compared to previous version.
The user interface is very interactive and Mozilla has tried to make the interface very user friendly with a lot of other features like bookmark tagging, anti-virus software integration, and the very interesting of them is the download manager where you can resume your broken downloads.
The old version is going to be continued for another six months after Mozilla releases the full-fledged Firefox 3.0 version. The final version of 3.0 is going to be released in the end of this year or the early next year.
