Google Penalizing Websites for Paid Links
In my last post, I told you about the -1 trend that Google showed this update. Matt Cutts recent writings have been laying stress on adding no-follow tag to the paid links on websites and most of the experts think that this decrease in penalty is simply the result of not following the advice of Matt Cutts.
According to Matt Cutts, Google is looking to penalize those websites who have been involved in manipulating the search engine rankings for others. That simply means, if you have a website with paid links, then Big G is going to hit you with its stick. The recent -1 trend that showed up was simply the result of the Big G's taking on the defaulters.
Matt Cutts says that there is no problem in selling links for traffic but there is absolute violation of Google TOS if you sell these links without no-follow tags. Links without no-follow tags will surely lead to search engine rankings manipulations leading deserving websites to feel isolated.
Well, if you are further looking to sell on your website than just think twice as you may gain some real quick money for yourself but this may hurt your long term income.
