Firefox add-ons to Backup your Bookmarks
Firefox Bookmarks have been one of my favorite way of saving the pages that I liked until today, when a sudden power failure led me to loose all of my bookmarks with no way of getting them back. This was really a shock to me as it had the sites which I used to refer a lot. After this, I decided to look for a way so that I can help myself and others by finding a way so that their bookmarks are automatically backed up so that you never loose your so important bookmarks.
Here are some of the great Firefox add-ons that can make your free of bookmarks worries:
- Bookmark Backup: All thank's to Pike for providing us such a great way to backup our bookmarks on our desktop. Well, this add-on simply backs up your bookmarks in a location that you specify, so that even a power failure or a system installation can't make you to loose your hands at those precious bookmarks.
- Bookmark Sync and Sort: This is the second in Bookmark back up add-ons for Firefox and is actually my favorite one. This simple add-on allows you to back up your bookmarks on a web server through FTP. Whenever you loose your bookmark, you can simply download all your bookmarks with just a mouse click. You can also setup this add-on to automatically update and download the bookmarks every time you opens up or closes down your Firefox.
- Bookmarks On Line: This is somewhat like the second add-on but it's for those who does not have a web server of their own. This add-on allows the users to upload their bookmarks to their company server and from where you can synchronize your bookmarks any time and at any place.
- del.icio.us Bookmarks Synchronizer: This one is for del.icio.us lovers. This Firefox add-on simply allows you to integrate your Firefox browser with del.icio.us and manage your del.icio.us bookmarks simply form the browser toolbar.
