Jaxtr is a new web service that allows you to call your friends anywhere in the world from your mobile phone absolutely for free. Sign up to Jaxtr is currently only by invitations from existing members only. Well, I know its just harsh but if you really want to be its part, just comment to this post and I will send you an invitation. Ok, now lets get onto the details of Jaxtr.

After signing up to Jaxtr, the first thing you must do is to add a mobile or landline number to your account. Well, after adding your phone number to your account you need to activate it. Jaxtr's phone activation is one of the things that mostly impressed me. As soon as you enter your phone number, you will be taken to the activation page containing your activation number. Soon, a phone call will come at the number you provided and you will be asked to enter the code and as you enter it your account will be activated.

Next, Jaxtr will create a widget for you through which your friends can give you a call anytime from anywhere around the world just by a single click. The widget can be posted to blogs, youtube, craiglist etc. Another interesting thing about Jaxtr is that the Jaxtr actually allows you and your friend to have a conversation on your mobile phone absolutely for free rather than on computer which most of the other such services does.

Well, Jaxtr seems to be growing very quickly but the only limitation is that it is still growing and not available fully in many countries. Nevertheless, Jaxtr is growing and it might set up its services in every country so that millions of people can benefit it.
