Good News: AMD slashed down Dual Core processor prices
Intel-AMD price war has been the most furious wars ever hit any international market. Recently, Intel announced price cuts for its Quad Core processors on July 22 and AMD in response to this price drop by Intel has announced price drops for its Core processors that has outdated and made the Intel's priced drops really small.
AMD today announced that they are going to slash down the prices of their X2 processors by upto 25%. I am not joking rather I am really serious and because of this latest announcement I postponed my plans to buy my new PC. According to the sources, from July 9, 2007, AMD's 6000+ range which was currently priced for a minimum of $229 will be cut down so as that it now ranges well below $200 i.e. $169. Moreover, this price slash down has left AMD with only two processors that costs above $200. Athlon X2 4000+ is now the lowest priced dual core processor whose price is dropped to $69 from $99.
