News: Youtube integrated with Google Accounts
The leading video broadcasting service Youtube has been finally merged with Google Accounts. This was an expected act by Google who bought the YouTube videos for $1.65 billion. I noticed today that YouTube had another link in its login panel which stated "Login with your Google account" in addition to the old Youtube Username and Password login panel. What's the advantage of this is just you now have one username and password less to remember and a Youtube icon will appear in your Google Account indicating that you are using the services of YouTube through Google Accounts. This facility is available to both existing and new users. The interesting fact about this is that if a you are a new user than you need to provide an alternate YouTube Username and Password. For the existing users, you can link to all of your youtube videos and data to your Google Account on youtube. However this new facility for youtube fans suffers from one major limitation. It is that once you merge your Google Account and Youtube Account there is no option so that you can undo the process and unlink your Google Account from Youtube Account.
