Clicky: Ultimate Web Analytics Software
Clicky is another web traffic analysis free software just like Google Analytics. Infact Clicky is far better than Google Analytics in providing webmasters every minute details of their website traffic.
Clicky is one of the most easiest web traffic analysis software and signing up to it was as easy as anything else. With not more than 6 fields to be filled for the sign up process, it just took me about 2 minutes to get my account up on it. As soon as I submitted my sign up information, "Add Site" page opens up and you just have to provide your website URL along with optional feedburner url. Just copy and paste the code in the page that follows next in your website or blog. Once it is done and a whole new world of clicky gets open.
Clicky's stats have been divided into a number of sections which will be discussed one by one.
- Home: The first stats page on clicky is the HOME page where you can see the summary of your website traffic. It tells you the number of Unique Visitors, visitors action and average time in the past 10 days. Besides this it also tells which have been the top most content pages, incoming links and searches for your website and believe me it really helps to analyze your website.
- Visitors: This is the most important section of the stats if you really like to know what kind of users visits your site. It gives you details of visitors country, city, language, web browsers, operating system and Screen Resolution. The thing I liked the most is the MAP. It uses Google Maps to show the exact location of your past 50 visitors on to the Google Map.
- Action: "Action" is one of the many things that differentiates between Clicky and other web analytics software such as Google Analytics, Sitemeter etc. and places it above them in information providing. This page gives you the details of every action that your visitors do on your site. It tells you about every single click that your visitors make on your site and hence justify the name Clicky of this great analytics software. It even tells you what downloads your visitors have done on your site which can be of great use if you have site related for downloading softwares and music.
- Content: Next comes the Content page and it is just like the most of the other web analytics softwares besides the fact it even allows you to view which files have been downloaded from your website.
- Links: This page simply tells you what all others tells i.e. Incoming Links, Outgoing Links and Top Referrers.
- Searches: It tells the webmasters what search words are being used by your users in search engines to reach your site. However, it also tells the webmasters which keywords are the top keywords on your site so that you can do SEO on your site for the particular keyword.
- Spy: Last but not the least. Spy is the most interesting and helpful tool that Clicky provides to the webmasters. It allows you to know about your visitors actions in real time. Whenever a visitor enters or clicks on a link the page gets automatically updated with the information telling you which users are there and what page they are surfing on your website currently.
Besides the above, it also provides you stats of your feeds if you have provided them with your Feedburner URL.
Finally, I would like to say that Clicky is the best traffic analyzing software with some small limitations to it such as addition of pie charts etc. One major limitation that Clicky has is that if you have more than 20,000 visitors to your site than you will have to contact them personally in order to use Clicky. But this limitation will definitely be removed once it gets more users and becomes famous.
