Third Party Facebook Applications coming up
Facebooks is one of the biggest and the fastest growing social networking site with about 3% growth every day, that means about 100,000 users adding up every day to the facebook community. Facebook is holding a developer event today where more than 750 people will be present. In this developer event a number of third party applications are expected to be announced from Microsoft, Amazon, Slide, Rockyou, box.net and many more. Facebook has opened up itself for third party developers so that they can build widgets based on Facebook photos. Users can simply choose the third party application to be installed in their account that will completely change the look of their Facebook photos. Moreover, if a user friends adds a certain third party application it will be shown on the users friends list as a new and the user can simply click on the link there to install that third party application into his/her account. This seems to be good strategy as it will allow Facebook to be used just beyond Facebook and into every other network. The third parties can display their own ads which is another plus point to this and is attracting more third parties to really develop Facebook applications.
