Technorati introduced the new "Authority" system
Technorati has recently changed their system by removing the “Blog Linking” feature and replacing it with the new “Authority” system.
But the new “Authority” system is not much different from the previous system except of the following two things:
- “Authority” counts the blogs linking to your site within the past 6 months rather than all the blogs linking to your blog since your site or blog came up.
- Besides this, now the search results on the Technorati for a specific keyword are ranked on the basis of the Authority and the users have the choice to shorten their list for searches by selecting a particular range of authority blogs to be only displayed on the list. Thus, the blogs with the highest authority will only be displayed according to your preference.
