Picnik - The ultimate image editing tools
Your computer might be full of images but most of them might not be good. However, those images can be converted into good ones by some small changes to them but this requires expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop which all of us don't have. But in this Web 2.0 world, internet is making everything easy and professional knowledge is not just must. Picnik.com is an image editing web 2.0 application that can be used to edit your images.
Picnik.com has a very simple flash based interface. You just need to sign up there and upload your picture or if you want to test it you can choose it from the demo images. Once your images get loaded, you can crop, rotate, resize, change colour balance etc. But the most important tool of Picnik.com is there latest addition of "Creative Tools" that allow you to add some great effects to your images such as Boost, Soften, Matte, Rounded Edges, Border etc. Finally, you will just have to "Save your image" and after which it will be downloaded to your computer which you can use as your avatar or profile pic or take a print out and paste it in your house or anything.
Picnik seems to be a complete image editing tool but I need som more Creative Tools as they still are limited. The Creative Tools can become more advanced if they allow some type of 3D transformation of images which can really take the creativity to the extreme level. Recently, they added support for Facebook after Facebook opening itself for third party applications so that you can edit all the images in your Facebook account.
