The new Stock quote button in Google searches

We all knew that Google is working hard on improving its search results by improving its ranking system and the Big G has now started adding stock quotes in front of search results if it finds a name of a listed US company in the contents of that website. This is clever piece of integration done by Google so as to increase the popularity of Google Finance and thus preventing the users going away to the competitors such as Yahoo Finance etc. You can see this change just by typing any US company such as Microsoft or Apple in the Google Search Engine.

Just click on the symbol there saying “Stock Quotes” and a drop down box will appear in front of you showing you the exact current price of the stock along with other information such as high price and lowest price for the day. Besides this, the drop down box will also contain a link to the corresponding page on the Google Finance site related to that stock.
It seems that it is still in a testing stage and might not be permanent.
