Hotmail has shifted to Windows Live Hotmail

Hotmail is one of the leading email service provider on the internet but they are facing tough competition from Yahoo and Gmail. With Yahoo moving on to Yahoo Beta version and still in the Beta mode, Hotmail have just completed its transition process from Hotmail to Windows Live Hotmail and Microsoft have officially announced the end of Beta testing mode of this new version of Hotmail.
The new Windows Live Hotmail has the follwing new features added to it:
- Improved Spam Protection: They have added some one click spam protection tools on which I can comment only after my mail box is spammed but till then no comments on this.
- 2 GB storage: This is a major feature addition. With Yahoo giving 1GB of mail space and Gmail providing with 2GB space it was an important improvement in Hotmail and will allow it to stand in the competition in a much more firm postion. In this 2 GB space, you can store 1000 pictures in your inbox and folders and send attachments like Yahoo upto 10 MB.
- Preview Email without opening: This looks an interesting new addition to the Hotmail initially but when I looked for it I really can’t find anything sort of this.
- Customizable Design: This one is good. Windows Live provides users with the options of choosing their own themes from the options menu.
- Finally, you have the option in your hand whether you want to go for a Classical Version or Full version. They say that Classical version is fast as compared to Full version which is rather true. But I liked the Full version as it had very new interesting tools such as Drag-n-Drop feature, auto complete and especially the very important feature just like Yahoo Beta of “Reading Pane”.
- Reply to your emails from your Mobile Phone: This service was expected as Mobile internet has been growing and users need some way to access their Hotmail account from their Web – enabled mobile device.
Hotmail now seems to attract more users with its new Windows Live version which is faster than Yahoo Mail Beta version but provides more things than it. So Big Mail Daddy’s beware, HOTMAIL is after you.

Hi
As I understand they say
Classic "...is good for slow connections"
but Full - is faster.
You say the opposite
So how it goes in real life?
Thanks
