Flash games and animations have been bombarded the internet and many of us like playing them online but some of us also think of how could they save their favourite flash animations and games on their computer so that they don’t have to go again and again on to that site for playing or watching that animation. We have already told you on how to download Youtube videos and now let us look at some quick methods for you all on how to download Flash files from websites.

For all these methods, you will have to go to the page in which the Flash animation and game is actually there and must load it once in your browser window.

Methods for Internet Explorer

Method 1:

1. Go to Tools menu and click on Internet Options
   
2. Go to the General Tab.
   
3. Click the Settings button there.
   
4. Click on the View Files button there.
   
5. A Window Explorer opens in front of you which will consists of all the files that have been cached by IE.
   
6. Click View - Details. Now click View - Arrange Icons By - Internet Address. Depending upon the webpage, there could one or more Flash files (Shockwave Flash Object) under the Inernet Address.
   
7. Now you just have to find the .swf file you were looking for. After you have found one just Right Click on the file and copy it. Now paste it in some other drive or folder in which you will like it to be placed.
   
8. Enjoy the flash animation or game by double clicking on it.

Note: Don’t close the browser window in which the Flash game was originally present.

Method 2:

1. Download this plugin for IE. Click here to download.
2. Once you install this plugin, there will be an icon on the top right of your browser screen just as shown in the picture.
   
3. Click on that button and it will display all the Flash files that have been encached by your browser.
   
4. Click on the File you want to save, give the destination of the file and it will be saved.
   
5. Enjoy.

Now we will look out for a method through which you can save Flash files from your Mozilla Firefox browser:

Method 1

1. Right-click on the web page.
2. Select View Page Info.
3. Switch to the "Media" tab.
4. Select the Flash movie you want to save.
5. Click Save As.

Now we will look for some softwares that facilitates you in saving Flash Files easily:

Software 1: Flash Saver ( Click here to download Evaluation Version )

This is one of my favourites. It just look out your cache for flash file and displays complete list of the flash files present in your cache and save the file for you. Here is the method on how to proceed with Flash saver.

1. Run the Flash Saver from your start menu.
2. Now click on the “Cache” button in the Flash Saver main window. A window appears before you.
3. Now click on the Detect button. A list of files will be displayed in front of you.
4. Check mark the file or files you want download and click on the Save button.
5. Your flash file will be saved and enjoy.
   

Software 2: Save Flash ( Click here to download Evaluation Version )

This is another plugin for IE and can be used in a very simple way.

1. Install the plugin.
2. Open the page containing the Flash file and allow it to load the Flash file
3. Now, click on the Save Flash button on the top right of your browser window.
4. You will see your flash file on the window that pops up.
5. Check mark that file and click on Save selected or Save all button as you wish.
6. Give the destination of the file and enjoy your flash animation on your computer.
