Another server found and tested
Well, I have told you all that what to look for in a server in my post “Host your blog on private server”.There I examined two servers Servage.com and Exclusivehosting.net. Recently, I founded a new server that gave a lot more features than the above and at a great price value. However, the disk space and the bandwidth were little less than the previous ones but that will do. Let me tell you the scenario in which I founded that site. I was installing a php based script that asked for a software named “FFMPEG” to be installed. I had no idea about that and on contacting the server support in both of the two servers, I got only one answer that they don’t support it. So, I went upto the google and gave a quick search for the keywords “FFMPEG hosting”. The google which has always been an obedient employer gave back the results with FFMPEG hosting. There I found Cirtexhosting.com in the first position. I simply went to it and found that they had support for FFMPEG hosting. Besides this they have several other cool features such as Ruby on Rails, Fantastico scripts etc. I straight went to the order form, where I started to do the registration process. While registering I found that they had discount coupons and again I searched Google for the keyword “Discount Coupons of Cirtexhosting.com”. I found a site with the discount coupons of Cirtexhosting. I entered the discount coupon in my registration form and went on for registering. Due to discount coupon my hosting charges were cut by 50%. This was a huge discount and made hosting on this server really cheap. I bought the basic plan for $20 with 5 GB of disk space and 1 domain name. On entering the control panel, I found various other new features of the hosting account such as domain redirection, annonymous FTP, Fantastico scrips and many more. Fantastico scripts were great addition to the hosting account. It consisted of SMF which I had been looking for a month, and installing it was a one click process with Fantastico. Moreover redirection facility allowed me to direct my site too any other page on the internet temporarily or permanently. As I am still new to this hosting account service, I still have to find the disadvantages of cirtex.
